29 Raw NHANES
There is an NHANES data portal available from the Plugins menu, but it included only a small selection of the data available.
In this project, you have to process data that’s much closer to the original data from the government NHANES site. It’s a lot more data. Basically, it’s more columns, and spread across many files.
It will also be more “raw,” that is, it will not be decoded. For example, values for the sex or gender attribute will be 1 for male and 2 for female. To make tables and graphs that make sense to anybody but you, you will need to decode these.
To do that decoding, you will need to look at the documentation for the dataset, which is available on the web site—but we will copy those files here.
